Translator/Editor
To ensure the voice and personality of Club Penguin editorial content is translated and adapted appropriately. To translate copy on a regular basis as required.
Responsibilities:
Translate regular weekly content, and all other language related content updates i.e. newspaper, in game catalogues, blog, website updates, and ICE (Internal Community Encyclopedia).
Coordinate and oversee the outsourcing of translation on a project basis.
Ensure all externally translated content is clean, and accurately portrays the voice of Club Penguin in local language.
Acquire approval on all editorials in a timely manner.
Work with management to coordinate projects, ensuring deadlines will be met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Linguistics or Communications
Experience with Translation, Copy Editing and Project Coordination
Speaks English and French: Must have strong grasp of English language, and ability to translate without losing meaning.
Software: Microsoft Office, skills with publishing software and Flash a plus.
