Senior ActionScript Programmer
Responsible for creating and maintaining an ActionScript framework for the future development of games and virtual worlds.
Responsibilities:
Work with ActionScript team to design and build next generation framework for various games.
Program various user interface components after designs are approved.
Provide training and mentoring for team members.
Assist other departments with tasks when needed.
Document and archive all client code.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer technology, or equivalent experience.
4+ years experience as a programmer in the PC, Internet, or console game industry or multimedia industry creating multi-players games.
ActionScript 3 required.
Skill with Client and Server integration required.
Experience in test driven development, source control (SVN), and Java an asset.
Proficiency in Flash programming and its limitations.
Experience with SmartFox, ElectroServer, or Flash Media Servers.
Fluent in English.
Skills and Abilities:
Good communications skills.
Strong attention to detail.
A feel for good interaction design and usability.
Able to work well with and help inspire a team./p>
Must have a strong background in object-orientated programming (OOP).
Able to accept constructive criticism and open to exploring new ideas and solutions.
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Passionate about creating reusable toolkits.
