Data Warehouse Analyst
Responsible for assisting in the development of the Disney Online Studios (DOS) Oracle based Data Warehouse, and for the "extract, transform and load" (ETL) component of a multi-phased data warehouse effort. Will function as a part of a broader Business Intelligence (BI) team that is responsible for not only supporting the ETL solution, but supporting the reporting tools and processes that run on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Design, model and develop the ETL processes, including data quality and testing.
Maintain the meta data component of the data warehouse.
Cross train as a backup/overflow BI developer.
Data Quality Assurance and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Post secondary degree or diploma in computer technology, or equivalent experience.
5+ years data warehouse or other relevant experience.
Experience working on successful Oracle data warehousing implementations.
Experience with IT application development.
Proficient with Oracle 10i or 11g, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux and Microsoft Office.
Experience with MicroStrategy an asset.
Fluent in English.
Skills and Abilities:
Full lifecycle data-warehouse development skills, including reporting/BI concepts.
Understand data warehousing concepts in detail.
Detail oriented and highly analytical.
Good communication skills.
